Kate Shively is a PhD candidate at Indiana University’s School of Education majoring in Curriculum Studies and minoring in Learning Sciences. She is an instructor and currently teaches and supervises pre-service teachers (both graduate and undergraduate students). Her interests and research pursuits include how non-formal digital learning environments (i.e. digital progressive learning environments – DPLEs) (Shively, in press) influence children’s personal interests and power development.
