Kate Shively is third year PhD Student at Indiana University’s School of Education majoring in Curriculum Studies and minoring in Learning Sciences. She is a Graduate Assistant at Indiana University Creativity Labs. Current work involves research pertaining to the MAKER movement, e-textiles, creativity, and learning in informal, interest-driven environments. She is currently piloting her project for her dissertation, which examines how young children engage in informal, interest-driven learning environments.
